products and services – announces its direct
expansion into the US market with the creation of
AES – Chemunex Inc. This new subsidiary
includes the rapid testing methods from Chemunex
as a result of AES Laboratoire Groupe last year
becoming the owner of Chemunex SA, a leader in
rapid microbial detection systems. AES –
Chemunex Inc. – which became official in May
2002 – will oversee the distribution of all
AES Laboratoire Groupe product ranges in the US. "This
direct organization is an important part of our
long-term international growth strategy, which
includes making a major commitment to the US
market and providing superior choices to
corporations looking for a complete source of
microbial testing products and equipment,"
explains Alain Le Roch, Chairman of AES
Laboratoire Groupe. During the last fiscal year,
Le Roch’s group employed over 280 people and
made over $70 million in sales.
With the
solid support of a financially strong parent
company, AES – Chemunex Inc. will provide
comprehensive microbial testing solutions from
sample collection to final result for the
pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics & personal
care and drinking water industries. The new
subsidiary will oversee the US distribution of
all AES Laboratoire Groupe product ranges
including reagents, traditional testing kits and
innovative & rapid analyzers.
